Developing and Engaging Leaders: Continuous Improvement
We tend to look at people as having inherent leadership or not. It’s just in them. But instead, consider how people have never been taught to lead. That is why when you are developing and engaging leaders, we think you need to encourage continuous improvement in your insurance agency.
What does that look like? It starts by helping people learn.
Do you have podcasts that always make your light bulb go off? Share those with your team. Ask them to listen to a couple of episodes that you find really relevant and educational. You can do the same with books.
When sharing these resources, you can work to improve weaker points, definitely. But we’d like to invite you to just share ideas purely for sharing them. Leadership fixes problems, sure, but they also work to learn, grow, and improve.
So, if your team is not selling like they should, you can invite them to learn about sales, but keep expanding their learning in every other direction, too.
An incredible way to get team buy-in is to involve staff in meetings and idea-sharing. Letting them see and participate in building the future of your agency.
No matter what you and your team are facing, always encourage continuous improvement in your insurance agency. You will look back in a few years and be so glad you did.
