[New Article PIA Agency Marketing Guide] Smarketing & Why Your Agency Needs It!

We are excited and thrilled to be included in the 2017 PIA Agency Marketing Guide.  Each year the National PIA works with industry thought leaders on the best practices of marketing your agency. We are honored to be a contributor for several years now! This year we also have 2 articles in this fantastic publication. If you haven’t received yours yet, make sure you contact the PIA.  This guide has articles from Alexi PapandonChris Paradiso, and  Ted Janusz.

Our first article focuses on the need for a Smarketing approach in your agency.  We have been advocates of Smarketing or Sales Based Marketing for over 5 years now and it was a great opportunity to share how this approach can drive the ROI agencies are looking for and generate high quality leads. Agents need to move away from “check list marketing” to marketing with purpose. In any small business managing your resources is critical which is why your agency needs to consider how sales and marketing will work together to fuel success.

A great example of Smarketing is marketing supporting networking events, and producers participating in fueling the marketing of networking events. Confused? No worries.  You can view our PIA Marketing Guide article and get our sample Smarketing Networking Event outline. This outline includes setting goals for business cards, checking in and taking pictures at events and having the marketing team ready to opt people into social media and email marketing campaigns.

If you enjoyed it make sure to leave a comment! Also if you are interested we have a 3 day workshop on installing Smarketing into your agency. It’s great for a carrier workshop, association or cluster looking to provide hands on training for your agents. You can always contact us to learn more!
