GROWING UP

I’m the daughter of a salesman and teacher (funny I’m a sales trainer right?) I grew up in Connecticut and now live in Rhode Island.

I have a strange food allergy, I’m allergic to all raw fruits and vegetables with a skin. But I enjoy sushi, buffalo wings and HelloFresh meals.

I’m married to Andrew, who has never once tried to change me or keep me small. He’s not on social media so people don’t think he exists. I’m mom to the best rescue puppy named America.

MY WHY

I struggled with this for a long time since everyone says their kids. Being kidless, I discovered my why was being able to hit my maximum potential, because if I can do that, I can give so much to others.

I have been the Mall Easter bunny and a synchronized swimmer.

HOW I GOT HERE

everywhere I went there was no plan...

I got into insurance and financial services when I was 18 as a summer job while I was in college (this was before the debit card—if you can believe that!) I learned that many of my co-workers were missing opportunities for more money by not taking advantage of the incentives the bank was offering us. So I started asking every person who came to my line about whatever promo the bank was running. I used the extra money to help buy books and some pizza and beer.

I wanted to be able to afford a college that was outside of my family’s means. It was a struggle to make ends meet and I had 3 jobs at one point. I knew in order to succeed I needed to take every opportunity presented to me so I could live up to my personal potential.

The problem I saw was that most people around me were not trained and were not comfortable educating our clients. I was quickly admired by my employer, but my co-workers were not so happy since I proved that it could be done. During this time I temporarily toned down my asks and instead picked up extra shifts at a catering company so I could afford college.

As I graduated college and worked in several small insurance and financial service businesses I realized that no one had a real plan to help make team members feel comfortable contributing to growth. In fact, I was never in a direct new business role under I started my firm in 2014.

My plan was to create real strategies for all level of team members in insurance agencies to embrace and use to help the entire agency survive and thrive. I created our AppX 6 month programs to install training, tracking, coaching and belief into agencies that they can grow without complicated marketing and producers.

I’m not perfect and I definitely don’t try to be. But I do know that if your agency can be ridiculously amazing with the right plan, tracking and implementation.
