What Marketing Stats Should Your Agency Be Looking at Monthly

Posted on July 31, 2017 by Kelly Donahue Piro

Insurance and marketing – what a pair. In today’s world you need to be an agent and a marketing ninja. The problem is that not many people were ever trained on how to do both well. Instead we fight to be creative and be a great agent. Too many agents use a spray and pray approach to marketing. They do a lot of activity but they aren’t sure if it’s even working. In today’s world at a baseline level you need to be monitoring and measuring several stats to make sure your marketing is profitable.

Awareness:

You can’t get a quote from someone that you don’t know about. You have to build awareness that you are an option.

  • Visitors to your website
  • Unique visitors
  • New Social Media Followers

Leads:

  • How many contact forms are completed?
  • How many new leads did you receive
  • How many qualified leads did you receive?

Sales:

  • How many sales did you have?

It may seem pretty basic and simple but we find all too often agencies are not tracking nearly enough data points. Check your own out, create a baseline and then understand where to go from there.
