Insurance Agency Tip: Insurance Prospects Consider 4.5 Insurance Companies Before Getting A Quote

A recent article was published on how people are buying insurance. Did you know that on average people will consider 4.5 people to contact to get a quote? So before they even pick up the phone they have 4-5 people they are considering. That’s right, they haven’t called you yet. The only thing they have done is stalked you. This could be online, this could be by talking to their clients, or just driving by your office.

The point is everything matters. Every detail of how you serve people, your office location and aesthetics, your web presence and your SEO strategy to get people there. You need to define your agency’s brand, your personal brand and the exact customer experience you would like to develop. In today’s world, most people will evaluate you far before they pick of the phone. Your agency image matters.

Run a simple test. Pick 4 competitors and do the following:

  • Drive by their office
  • Call to get a quote
  • Review their website
  • If you know customer of theirs call them and ask about their service

Now do the same for Progressive and Geico.

When you know what the other brands are doing that your prospects are considering, you can determine how to stand out and be better. You have to meticulously design every detail of the prospect experience to drive the highest result. Don’t leave anything to chance.
