CRM Tool? What’s that!?

This month we are going to go over the basics of what a CRM tool stands for, what it does, and how it can help you! Jarrod and I would be lost without our CRM tool. It’s our “hub”, our “go to”, and our organizational system for client information and client tasks.

What the hey-Holy-Heck is a CRM?

Not long ago, I was sitting at a bar talking to a colleague about different CRM tools that my company uses, and a wonderful woman nearby with slightly slurred speech asked me, “What’s CRM stand for?”

At first,  I thought, “What a silly, inebriated lady! She doesn’t know what a CRM is?! Ha! Who doesn’t know what a CRM is!”
So I start man-splaining, like a total doofus, what a CRM does. She stopped me mid sentence and said, “No! I know what a CRM does! I use one at (VERY large successful company that shall remain nameless) but what does it STAND for?”
Well, I was admittedly dumbfounded. CRM is one of those terms like ATM, NATO, or NASCAR that we use all the time but do we ever stop to think about what it means?
The acronym CRM stands for Customer Relationship Management, and refers to the practices and tools that companies use to keep track of, manage, and analyze our interactions with customers. These can range from keeping track of contact information to setting auto-enroll marketing material to go out to prospective and current clients. We use a ridiculously amazing company called, Hubspot for our CRM and could not be happier.
Okay. My turn to chime in.
Hubspot for me is not only a CRM tool for client information and tasks, but it is a way for market to our audience. Ever heard of inbound marketing? Inbound marketing is an all-in-one marketing tool to help your business GROW. Now, who doesn’t want that? Think of it as a funnel: Attract clients, convert them into leads, close the deal, and delight them with ridiculously amazing service! This is where sales and marketing really come together, and this is exactly what Hubspot is all about!
For the next month, we will be providing information and demoing certain aspects of Hubspot to all of the insurance badasses throughout North America that we’ve connected with over the years.
