Hiring in insurance is not what it used to be. You don’t need to be an expert to know that. These days you have to put more energy into your insurance agency’s job posting than ever before. 

You have an efficient workplace and that’s great. You can show them that. But you also need to show them the fun side of your agency.”

Why? 

 

Once upon a time, candidates had to do most of the work in the hiring process, making themselves seem like a worthy option and be everything you needed them to be. Now, the script is flipped. 

 

The talent is out there and you have to make them want to come to you. How do you do that? Well, you have to attract your target audience. Figure out exactly who it is you want on your team and curate your job posting for them.

 

Attach photos of the office and the people who work there. Give access to some videos, too. You have an efficient workplace and that’s great. You can show them that. But you also need to show them the fun side of your agency.

 

There is fun to be had in there. Find a creative way to show that to potential hires. 

 

Ultimately, your insurance agency’s job posting is a sales pitch. Sell potential team members what a place in your agency can offer them. 

 

We know it seems like this is overkill or too much work, but in such a competitive job market, crossed with a labor shortage (and everything else that is happening), you need to put in the work to compete.
