Insurance Time Off

It’s the start of a new week, which means we’re kicking off a brand new topic for our Three Minute Videos. This topic is probably one that you’re feeling the impacts of right now, and it has to do with insurance time off, and time management. We call it the “summer hangover.”

”Running short-staffed for 90 days when many agencies might already be a little short staffed can cause a lot of chaos. So if you’re feeling like a headache and maybe some queasy stomach and not feeling your absolute best, ask yourself, if we look at the summer hangover vacation, did we do it smart?

Insurance Busy Season

All this week we’re talking about the dreaded “summer hangover” or that time towards the end of the summer when everyone is feeling like they’re running on empty. Yesterday, we discussed how the summer months can be short-staffed, and how to manage it. Today, we’re discussing how the insurance busy season factors in.

“If you’re feeling the summer hangover, check your book of business. You might be surprised to find some of your most chaotic months are when you’re the shortest staffed. And that’s a problem that we have to address.”

Insurance Agency Summer Hours

The summer hangover can hit insurance agencies hard, and we all know what it feels like all too well. It’s that feeling during the summer where agencies are short staffed and going through their busy seasons at the same time. Today, we’re talking all about how insurance agency summer hours come into play.

“There are lots of ways to do it, but you have to check if the intention is really serving the agency. And if it’s not, it might be time to relook at that.”

When to Make Changes in Your Insurance Agency?

We’ve been discussing the season that is the “summer hangover,” or that time of the year towards the end of the summer when everyone is taking time off from your agency, and everyone is also feeling a little burnt out from the busy season. Today’s topic is all about when to make changes in your insurance agency, and taking the summer hangover into consideration.

“Changing things when there’s a lot of people coming and going due to vacation, and when it’s the craziest time, may not be the best fit.”
