It’s Hard to Hire: Get Rid of Low-Level Tasks

Seems silly, right? We aren’t kidding. You need to get rid of low-level tasks in your insurance agency.

By far, this is the best way to scale up your business. Create more hours in your day for what really makes a difference for your business.”

These are the things that seem important but aren’t. They take up so much of your team’s time and they offer very little reward.

But isn’t everything important?

If you honestly believed that, you wouldn’t have left your house today because cleaning the bathroom was just as important as showing up to work. Not the same, you see?

When it’s hard to hire (and not getting any easier) you have to find ways to create more time. You automate processes that are basically always the same, you trim down the things that don’t need all that attention, and you throw away anything that isn’t giving you an ROI.

The most important thing you can do is delegate and we do not mean you give even more to your team. Bring in someone who can handle the “small stuff” and try to leave your licensed professionals tasks only related to insurance.

Do you have too much administrative stuff piling up? Hire a VA. We think they are the best thing since sliced bread and we know you’ll feel the same when HOURS are appearing in your week.

By far, this is the best way to scale up your business. Create more hours in your day for what really makes a difference for your business. Is it really that important to clean the bathroom or do you have work to do?

And get creative with new roles. You don’t always need another agent, but you could probably use a VA. Honest, everyone in this industry could benefit from one or two of those! Just do yourself and your team a favor and get rid of low-level tasks.
